IVF stands for In Vitro Fertilization and ICSI stands for Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection. IVF is an infertility treatment which is used to increase successful chances of conception. Whereas ICSI is a procedure in which the the partner's sperm is injected directly into the eggs to get fertilized. In IVF procedure, the sperm and egg is fertilized in an IVF laboratory in the infertility clinic or hospital.
IVF and ICSI are two different procedures. ICSI with IVF was suggested in our case as male infertility issues were becoming an hindrance for conception. Honestly, this treatment combination helped us a lot. IVF ICSI has solved some of the most complicated infertile cases of couples.
