Ukraine surrogacy is possibly the best option globally for married couples seeking to have a family through a legal surrogacy arrangement. Surrogacy Ukraine and assisted reproduction is governed by multiple acts including Article 123, Part 2 of the Family Code of Ukraine which expressly regulates the affiliation of a child born as a result of assisted reproductive technologies and a surrogacy programme.
In addition, Article 139 of the Family Code of Ukraine, specifically Part 2 of this Article, stipulates that contesting maternal affiliation of a genetic mother by a gestational carrier is prohibited. Therefore, when engaging in surrogacy in Ukraine with properly drafted legal contracts, the child is legally considered to be the child of the intended parents from the very moment of conception.
The pioneers of assisted reproduction in Ukraine in collaboration with the agency Conception Consulting and some of the leading experts in the fields of surrogacy law, gynaecology, reproductive endocrinology, andrology, and reproductive psychology will be with you through all stages of the surrogacy Ukraine process. We strive to ensure that our patients have our trust and we achieve success
The Institute for Reproductive Medicine (IRM) is not just any Ukraine surrogacy clinic, but has a long history in the country and is known to many thanks to the name of its founder, Professor Fedor Dakhno. It was under the name of “Laboratory Dakhno Ltd” that the history of our Institute began the first private clinic of assisted reproductive technologies in Kiev. Professor Dakhno is a pioneer of Ukrainian reproductive medicine. Under his guidance in 1984, a group of researchers achieved the first fertilization, and then the first pregnancy in Ukraine through IVF. On his initiative, the Kharkiv Human Reproduction Center (1985), the Human Reproduction Laboratory in Kiev (1991), and The Institute for Reproductive Medicine (1994) were established. Since the 1980s, he has been one of the first Ukrainian obstetricians and gynaecologists to adopt the experience of foreign reproductive specialists and successfully introduced techniques to Ukraine, both for the treatment and for the training of qualified personnel (he organized the first Kiev School of Reproduction in 1994).
Professor Dakhno was an obstetrician-gynaecologist in the Grishchenko group who, in 1991 for the first time in Ukraine, successfully implemented an IVF program, from which the girl Katya was born. In 1993, Professor Dakhno and his colleagues managed to achieve the onset of pregnancy and the birth of the first child in Ukraine after direct intraperitoneal insemination. And in 1995, an IVF program was successfully implemented using donated eggs, thanks to which women with ovaries removed and other factors can now become mothers.
The Institute for Reproductive Medicine (IRM) is a modern international medical centre for the treatment of infertility and surrogacy in Ukraine. The centre practices modern assisted reproductive technologies and employs highly qualified reproductive specialists, gynaecologists, endocrinologists, urologists and embryologists who regularly partake in professional development and training in the best foreign centres for the treatment of infertility.
In 1997, in our clinic, intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) was first used in Ukraine, a technique now used in most reproductive centres in our country and the world. We are constantly improving and introducing new techniques to help as many infertile couples as possible.
Professor Dakhno is the vice-president of the Ukrainian Association of Reproductive Medicine (UARM) and the national expert of Ukraine for the Task Force on Ethics and Legislation in Reproductive Medicine at the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and he is actively engaged in the development and implementation of Ukrainian legislation in the field of assisted reproduction.
