Dr. Budi Wiweko is one of the Best Obstetrician / Gynecologist and Infertility Specialist. He was Graduating from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Indonesia in 2005, he continued his study of vitrification of ovarian tissue at the Hyogo College of Medicine in Japan. He has carried out and published various researches in assisted reproductive technology, especially regarding Anti Mullerian Hormone, invidualized controlled ovarian stimulation (iCOS) , vitrification of ovarian tissue and embryo metabolomics. He developed the AMH nomogram and AMH based iCOS formula which is very important in everyday practice in the field of infertility. He has presented the results of his research both at local and international conferences such as ASPIRE, ESHRE, and IFFS.
Budi is major contributor to development in the IVF field in Indonesia since he is one of the founders of Indonesian Association for In Vitro Fertilization (IA-IVF) which was founded in 2009. Instead of giving services, he is also a coordinator of trainer for Subspecialty in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship which is conducted in Teaching Hospital Universitas Indonesia.
In the field of education, he is active as coordinator trainer for subspecialty education in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Indonesia. In addition to research and education, he is also active in professional organizations and currently serves as general secretary of IA IVF, and chair of IA-IVF for the period of 2016-2020.
He is the one of AMH expert in Asian region since he developed AMH normogram and AMH based iCOS formula which is very important for daily practice on infertility. His researches about AMH, iCOS, and ovarian tissue vitrification were published in the local journal and international journal and also a conference of ART such as ASPIRE, ESHRE, and IFFS annual meeting. Up to now, he has published 21 original articles on international journal (indexed in the pub- Med and Scopus).
He is also active in various regional organizations such as the Asia Pacific Institute on Reproduction (ASPIRE), Pacific Rim Fertility Society (PRFS), the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the International Federation of Fertility Society (IFFS), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), International Society for Fertility Preservation (ISFP) and American Association for Gynecology Laparoscopy (AAGL). Currently he is developing ovarian cryopreservation in Indonesia.
Dr. Iko currently serves as the Research and Community Service Manager at FKUI. Previously, he had served as Research and Development Coordinator in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology FKUI-RSCM. His interest in the world of research has succeeded in bringing Dr. Iko won various awards both nationally and internationally. There have been many studies by Dr. Iko is published in various research publication journals on a national and international scale. Thanks to his passion and positive contribution in the field of research, Dr. Iko won the Young Gynecologist Award from the Asia & Oceania Federation of Obstetric and Gynecology (AOFOG) in 2007.
The series of stages of UI UI Lecturers' assessment in 2015 began from March to May 2015. The jury consisted of Prof. Dr. drg. Hanna H. Bachtiar, SpRKG (K) (Head of UI Academic Quality Assurance Agency), Prof. Dr. Yahdiana Harahap, MS (Professor of the Faculty of Pharmacy UI), and Prof. Yandi Andri Yatmo, ST, M. Arch., PhD (Professor of the Faculty of Engineering UI).
Lecturers with UI achievements selected based on the guidelines set by the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) of the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, include components of superior achievement and the Tridharma of Higher Education. Superior performance works are assessed based on innovative research ideas, the possibility of developing partnerships, and their benefits for the development of science and society. While the Tridharma of Higher Education is assessed from the work that has been produced in the past three years (2012-2015).
Dr. Budi Wiweko is well identified for his dedicated and compassionate sufferer care. By means of her revolutionary thinking, he maximizes the threat of pregnancy to each sufferer. His patients come from everywhere Jakarta. She accommodates better approaches to further support the exceptional lifetime of sufferers who have had fertility problems.
In general, the event for the selection of UI Achievement Lecturers is a form of real appreciation and recognition from UI for its teaching staff who have practiced the Tridharma of Higher Education. Lecturers with selected achievements are expected to motivate other academics to improve the activities of the Tridharma of Higher Education, create an academic environment, and foster pride among lecturers towards their profession. With this victory, Dr. Iko will represent UI in the selection of outstanding lecturers at the national level in 2015. Of course, it is the hope of all University of Indonesia academics that Dr. Iko can present his best achievements at the national level.
