There is no such rule as the maximum age for IVF procedure. The parliament is considering a law to state that the maximum age will be 50 years for such treatments. Although, it is true that the success rate of IVF treatments goes on decreasing with the increase in age. Women who are less than thirty five years of age have more chances of success.
IVF procedure is usually recommended to be undergone before the age of 40 years for the best results in the form of pregnancy. But this ultimately depends on the case of the patient. If the age of the patient is above 35 years and further complications are present, then the IVF procedure is combined with other infertility treatment options.
