Hello everybody..I'm new to this app and I've been reading all of your stories and posts. Having PCOS is really hard and if you don't have it you don't know what a PCOS person is going through. I was diagnosed with it when I was 25 and I'm now 31. I think I had it since I started having periods but I never found out. When I found out my doctor told me to lose weight but I never did. I finally got some sense and started the ketogenic diet. It's a low carb..moderate protein..high fat diet. I have lost 30 lbs so far. Before the diet I could not have a period on my own. I had been on birth control and metformin for years. When I came off birth control and had lost weight from the diet, I got my 1st period on my own October 25 and again on November 25. When I went to my doctor she said my insulin was great..cholesterol was great..and testosterone was low. So I recommend this diet to everyone who has PCOS. I haven't got pregnant yet, but I can say I have a regular cycle now from me lowering my carb intake. I pray we all get that miracle baby we have all been waiting on. God bless!
