    Q. How long after cancelled IVF will I get my periods?
    • If you had a cancelled IVF procedure, you need to make sure that you stay positive with respect to the timing in which you will have your periods. Usually, the periods come back within a time frame of over four to eight weeks. So, you can stay calm and make sure that you stay relaxed till your periods arrive.

    • One of the prime reasons for pain during menses is because of increased levels of prostaglandins in the body. Some of the common reasons for menstrual cramps or pain include presence of endometriosis and uterine fibroids. These days PID which is Pelvic Inflammatory Disease is one of the most frequent reasons for occurrence of pain during menstruation in most of the women. It is essential to take this seriously as a symptom and get treated accordingly. I would suggest you to get consulted by an experienced gynecologist without delaying any further. Hope for the best!

    • I can completely understand your sister's difficulty. One thing I would suggest is that she must consult gynecologist as soon as possible to find the root cause and get treated for it. Also, check if there is a family history of painful periods as it can pose to be a major reason for pain at the time of menstruation. In some of the cases, uterine health in women is affected due to certain reasons or growth in the lining of the uterus has occurred which can lead to disturbance in the normal menstruation. Ask her to stay calm and go ahead with the right treatment to ease the condition.
