    Q. Does ICSI pose birth defects to the child conceived with it?
    • ICSI doesnt pose any extra threats to the new born compared to Natural Birth. Birth defects to the offspring/s born after using ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) is minimal and caries a percentage of hardly 0.7%. The potential birth defects that have been found in such small number of cases incldes chromosome abnormalities, Hypospadias, Angelman Syndrome and Beckwith- Wiedemann syndrome.
