    Cefixime is an antibiotic related to the third generation Cephalosporins. It is used to treat several bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, and gonorrhea. It works as bactericidal by binding penicillin-binding proteins and it also helps in preventing bacterial cell wall synthesis.

    Cefixime is used to treat infections, which occur, due to bacteria. The medicine acts as an antibiotic by preventing the growth of bacteria. It is used to treat bronchitis (infection of air tubes in the lungs), gonorrhea (sexually transmitted disease) and ear, throat, tonsil, etc. Cefixime 200 is used for the treatment of only bacterial infections and does not work for viral infections such as flu. This medicine comes in the form of chewable and capsules. Cefixime is used to treat infection caused by the bacteria. (1) Cefixime flu does not work for viral infections. Cefixime 200 mg medicine is usually taken at time intervals of 12 or 24 hours. The medicine should be used at the same time every day as prescribed. It is important to check all the ingredients before consuming medication. This can help you avoid allergic reactions later if you are allergic to any of the ingredients used in this particular drug.
