Increased sense of vision and taste as well as spotting also signify ovulation date. You can track ovulation with temperature change and increased sex drive.

Every month one of the ovaries in the female body releases eggs into the Fallopian tube to meet the sperm and get fertilized. This release of an egg by the ovaries is called ovulation. Now, this egg stays in the female body for 12-24 hours once it is released. So, right timing is the important thing to get pregnant. If the sperms do not meet the egg inside the female body, then pregnancy cannot occur.

Tracking ovulation helps in determining the ovulation day and the fertile window when chances of having baby are high. This fastens your process of trying to conceive. Before, we read about common signs and symptoms of ovulation, read a little about menstrual cycle, which helps in better understanding of ovulation.

The ElaWoman team has researched thoroughly about ovulation, symptoms and it’s tracking in the most accurate manner. Find the best ovulation tracking ways as follows:

  • Wait for your body to show up: Mid-cycle bleeding is the way your body’s way of showing up.
  • Period Tracker: Fertility Tracker or Period Tracking apps are available in the play store and app store to keep track of all of your fertile days, period length, cycle length, ovulation, symptoms, and moods and so on. Apart from fertile window, they also give you the predictions of ovulation period and next period assumptions.
  • Basal Body Temperature: You can use a thermometer to check your Basal Body Temperature as a first thing every day in the morning. So that you can track even a slight change in your temperature after you ovulate.
  • Ovulation Predictor Kit: OPK or ovulation period kit is also known as Ovulation Predictor Kit, which can be used every day to test the level of hormones from urine. If this test gives you a positive result you will be more likely to ovulate in the next 36 hours.
  • Stick your finger in vagina: Seriously, you can do this daily to check the consistency of cervical mucus. If the vaginal discharge starts looking like uncooked egg white then you are in your fertile days.
  • Consult your physician: Even when you are in your fertile days, you can consult your doctor to get a bit of extra help. The doctor takes the ultrasound scanning to determine the size of your ovaries and at the right time, he can give you shots which may trigger ovulation 36 hours later.

If you are ovulating and are looking forward to using the ovulation tracking, check and start testing with the above-mentioned process. You can easily calculate ovulation with an easy method. It's usually the length of your usual cycle minus 17 days. So, if you have a 28-day cycle, start testing on day 11 and carry on for six days. Use our ovulationcalculator to help you work out when your fertile window is likely to begin. Hope you found this article helpful in getting the right information about both, the symptoms as well as the tracking of ovulation.
