Female condoms are useful in preventing STIs and unwanted pregnancies. Condom for women benefits them as it can be used right before intercourse. You need to learn how to use condom before you choose it at the time of sex. You can learn about female condoms risks before using them.

Female condoms are an alternative to regular condoms can also be used as birth control. They provide pretty much the same great protection from pregnancy and STDs and used for birth control. Female condoms go inside the vagina for pregnancy prevention or into the vagina or anus for protection from STDs and reduce the chances of getting pregnant.

What do you need to know about the female condoms?

1- Store condoms in a cool, dry place: Heat may damage the condom. Check the expiration date.

2- Use a new condom every time you have sex: It is not washable or reusable.

3- Use it with a second form of protection: The best way to protect you and your partner is to use a condom with a sponge, cervical cap, or spermicide and can be used as birth control and reduce the chances of getting pregnant. Ask your healthcare provider for information about other methods of contraception. Do not use a female condom when your partner uses a male condom, as both can prevent you from getting pregnant. The two condoms may stick together and slip out of place.

How to use female condoms?

1- Find a comfortable position to insert the condom: You may sit, squat, or stand with one leg up on a chair.

2- Use water-based lubricant: Put 1 or 2 drops of water-based lubricant or spermicide on the outside of the closed end.

3- Insert the female condom: Hold the closed end of the condom and squeeze the inner ring between your thumb and your finger. Use your other hand to separate your labia (folds of skin around the vagina). Put the squeezed ring into your vagina and push it up as far as it can go. Place your index or middle finger, or both, inside the open end until the inner ring is felt. Push the inner ring as far back into your vagina as it can go.

4- Check the outer ring: Make sure the outer ring is close to the outside area of your vaginal opening. You may need to hold the outer ring as your partner inserts his penis. This helps prevent the entire condom from being pushed into your vagina and simply reduce the chances of getting pregnant.

Step 3 - Squeeze together the sides of the inner ring at the closed end and insert it into the vagina.
Step 4 - The inner ring should be pushed into the vagina until it reaches the cervix.
Step 5- Then pull out your finger and the outer ring should be hanged outside the vagina, even this prevents you from getting pregnant.

Oral contraceptive pills are good to use but it would not protect you from HIV/AIDS. If a man denies having a condom then, women should use them. Good share!

Of all the birth control methods, condoms are the safest as they protect from catching STDs as well.

Highly uncomfortable and costly. I used it once and it was a bad experience. It was hard to get it inside my vagina and made a horrible sound.
